The Royal Opera House, Mumbai presents Talat Aziz: Celebrating 40 Years of the Legend an evening celebrating the four-decades long musical journey of renowned Ghazal Singer Talat Aziz, who brings his unique blend of powerful vocals, poetic verses and soothing melodies to the Opera House stage for the first time ever.

Talat Aziz is one of the country’s leading Ghazal singers whose versatility and consummate talent make him one of the most successful vocalists in the industry today. Hailing from historic Hyderabad, he was trained in music by Ustad Samad Khan and Ustad Fayaz Ahmed of the Kirana Gharana. He released his first album, an instant success in 1980, under the aegis of Jagjit Singh, which is still considered a timeless classic. His music has sound tracked a number of tele-serials and Bollywood films over the years, the most notable of which include Gumrah (1993), Umrao Jaan (1981) and Everybody Says I'm Fine! (2001). 

An evergreen favourite, with a distinctively smooth voice and charming stage presence, Talat is sure to entrance ghazal lovers and music enthusiasts alike. The evening will consist of many popular ghazals and Bollywood tunes sung by the legend himself with musical accompaniment.
