The ancient song-line of Australia’s Indigenous people is brought to life by acclaimed Yorta Yorta soprano and composer Deborah Cheetham. Together with the music of Puccini, Catalani, Cilea, Dvorák, Strauss and Vaughn Williams, Cheetham is joined on stage by Tabla Master Pandit Sengupta and one Australia's most exciting new music ensemble Rubiks Collective - for the premiere her latest composition Article 27. Based on the 27th article of the UN Declaration of Human Rights and translated in to the ancient language of the Pintubi people this music at its most evocative. Accompanied by pianist Toni Lalich, this is a unique narrative recital by one of Australia’s most admired performers, not to be missed.
