Jab Khuli Kitaab is a family comedy-drama that follows a couple, desperately seeking divorce at the very fag end of their life to the paradoxical point of them reuniting through the process of separation.

The play deals with the dysfunctionality of relationships, which keep deteriorating due to unfulfilled desires and social pressures in the institution of marriage

When Gopal finds out his wife, whom in a critical health condition had had an affair in their younger days- he is infuriated by her deceit and looks to seek out a divorce in their old age after his wife’s long-lasting lie comes to light. This story focusses on Gopal’s efforts to acquire this divorce and all of the tension created within the family in seeking this divorce. In all of this, Gopal’s anger and infuriation turns into something totally unexpected

Jab Khuli Kitaab, on one hand, is the story of destruction and on the other hand, is the hopeful possibility of a fresh start!
